SKY YUTAKA Studio

Architecture studio workshop with facilities for model making, prototyping, and design research

SKY YUTAKA is a Hong Kong – UK based multidisciplinary design practice committed to sustainable design, innovation, and collaboration. Informed by research and academia, we operate at the intersection of architecture, landscape, and culture-led placemaking. We bring together strategic design leadership and delivery expertise across institutional and cultural projects, transforming existing environments into future‑ready places.

SERVICES

Architecture + Landscape

We transform existing assets through conservation and circular design thinking, extending lifecycle and reinterpreting structures through new programmes and public interfaces. Our work creates layered environments that embody identity, continuity, and long-term adaptability. We specialise in engineering-led and infrastructure projects, translating complex technical briefs into coherent and spatially legible outcomes. We also manage statutory submissions and design review processes, including DAP and ACABAS, ensuring regulatory compliance while maintaining design clarity and environmental performance.

Placemaking + Planning

We develop flexible planning frameworks that integrate infrastructure, landscape, art, and cultural systems. Our approach repositions planning as an evolving placemaking process, one that enables economic ecosystems, cultural identity, and long-term value creation at the urban scale. By aligning spatial strategy with social and cultural dynamics, we support adaptable environments that respond to changing conditions while reinforcing place-specific identity and relevance.

Interior + Exhibition

We craft narrative-led spatial experiences that connect people with place, culture, and history. Through interior and exhibition design, curatorial strategies, and interpretive environments, we translate layered contexts into engaging and accessible experiences, strengthening community connection and cultural relevance. We support TPPE licence and RSE submissions through the preparation of drawings and documentation, and, working with partners, deliver statutory submissions including GBP, BEAM Plus, and licensing requirements, ensuring design intent is maintained alongside regulatory and delivery constraints.

Object + Craft

We design and develop bespoke objects, installations, and components that support and extend architectural and spatial projects. Our services include prototyping, fabrication coordination, and material research, enabling precise integration with project delivery. These interventions contribute to spatial identity, functional performance, and construction detailing, reinforcing the relationship between concept, craft, and built outcome.
