Visions 2050 / Bi-City Biennale of Urbanism and Architecture (Hong Kong)

Project Details
SKY YUTAKA co-curated, provided exhibition design services, and oversaw programme development and project management of the Bi-City Biennale of Urbanism and Architecture Hong Kong. This three-month event, co-organised by Hong Kong and Shenzhen under an innovative “Two Cities, One Biennale” approach, sought to foster education and public discourse surrounding a dynamic programme of architecture, urbanism, design, and culture. With collaborative support from local universities and institutions, practices, and participants, the events facilitated conversations on a diverse range of aspects pertaining to Hong Kong’s urban environment, spanning from the past to the future.
The Biennale’s centrepiece was an exhibition space that showcased over sixty international and local exhibitors. The exhibition was conceived as a narrative of the past, present, and future, centred around the question of our lifestyle and the city. The central multi-channel projection presented the work of architects, filmmakers, and photographers in an immersive environment that explored diverse representations of distinctive Hong Kong urban spaces.
